last night's service
Last night was a tough night! MANY people gathered to be a part of a special service to remember a special man who was dear to so many. Mark took his life a week and a day ago, leaving us with many questions. Memories of his sincerity, sense of humor and kindness will live on in my heart. Last night's service was filled with sadness, tears, joy, a powerful message and incredible music. It was truly an experience like none other. I am thankful I was able to be a part of such a special time that can't be put into words!

BOLON Mark W. Bolon, age 56, unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Mark is the Vice President for Client Services for Retirement Strategies, Ltd. He is an active member of Stonybrook United Methodist Church, where he is Chair of the Finance Committee and a Choir member for 27 years. He is an avid golfer, competing in a Tuesday night "unleague" league at GMGC. His family was his pride and joy especially his grandson who called him "PaPaw". He is survived by his wife of 35 years (April 14), Nora Russell Bolon; daughters, Kara (Chad) Harris and Kendra Bolon; grandson, Elias Mark Harris; brother, Jeff (Marrianne Columbo) Bolon; sister, Rene (Peter) DeFrancisco; brother-in-law, Keith (Linda) Russell; nephews, Ryan and Mark Russell, Danny DeFrancisco, Scott Bolon; nieces, Rhonda (Chris) Burge and Kristin (fiance, Jason) DeFrancisco. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, 485 Cherrybottom Road, with Pastor Derik Hines, officiating.
